Kadore by Keish, was founded by a Saint Louis native, Lakeisha Johnson, a pediatric nurse who loves fashion and accessories as well as helping others.
2.) Why was Kadore by Keish created?
Kadore by Keish was created to provide an affordable, classic, and contemporary style products to the everyday person who loves accessories and fashion. You don't need a million bucks to feel worthy or confident with self. From the packaging to the product bought, the goal for consumer is to feel truly beautiful in Kadore.
3.) What are your earrings made of?
On each product’s page list the material the earrings are made of. Majority of the earrings are made of alloy as the main component and other materials such as rhinestones, resin, and/or pearls. Our alloy is nickel and lead free. Which are the main components of allergic reactions. Our upcoming earrings will be made of zinc alloy as well as 316L Surgical Stainless Steel to give the consumer variety in choices of material. Our Surgical Stainless Steel is hypoallergenic, doesn't rust/tarnish, and water resistant. Stainless Steel contains a small amount of nickel to increase durability, resistance to corrosion, and help with shine.
4.) How do you clean alloy?
To get rid of tarnished areas use a common household toothpaste (non-gel varieties). To clean the earring, work the paste into a lather and then apply directly to the piece, you can use a soft-bristled toothbrush or similar to get into grooves, or scrub at more stubborn tarnish. Please note that sometimes, if the tarnish has been left for too long, the metal will remain discolored! Tutorials can be on YouTube for reference.
5.) What are the do’s and dont’s in taking care of alloy based jewelry?
Like most metals, zinc alloy can tarnish and discolour. Depending on a variety of factors (metal content, finish, exposure to certain conditions), this can happen very quickly, or take several months.
To help prevent tarnish,
-Avoid moist or wet condition
-Don’t spray perfumes or oils on pieces
-If wet, immediately use a dry lint free cloth to pat dry
-Give jewelry a rest periodically and store in an airtight container.
6.) What are the necklaces, bracelets, and rings are made of?
Stainless steel, which is durable and resists corrosion and oxidation. These pieces will not rust, tarnish, or turn your skin green. And are either non-plated(silver), 14k-18k gold plated, or PVC gold plated with 2 microns to ensure long lasting wear. It may lose it’s luster and become dull but you can restore very easily and the comforts of your home.
7.) How do you clean stainless steel?
1. Soap and Water.
The simplest way to clean your stainless steel jewelry is with a bit of soap and water when it's dull and dirty. Soak piece in MILD liquid soup and warm water for a few minutes. Then dry using a soft cloth and rub to get rid of any dirt. Make sure it is a lint-feee cloth to remove all potential water spots.
2. Baking Soda.
Making a thick paste of baking soda mixed with water, use a toothbrush to slowly clean your jewelry. Once you've cleaned it thoroughly take a lint-cloth to dry your piece an ensure it's completely dry.
8.) What are the do’s and dont’s taking care of stainless steel based jewelry?
-Avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach and chlorine, could damage the metal. So remove if swimming.
-Use a stainless steel safe jewelry cleaner to ensure that it’s not too abrasive and will not scratch steel.
-Give jewelry a rest periodically and store in a container.
-When storing, please try to store in the box provided during the sale of item, other sharp jewelry might scratch the product.
-Don’t spray perfumes or oils on pieces
